Guglielmo
Guglielmo 1999 Santa Clara Valley Zinfandel: When I tasted this zinfandel at a wine tasting I was truely impressed. I was so impressed that I when I shopped for this wine in my local Denver wine store I cruised the higher priced zinfandels in order to find it. I was way off base in my assumption of price. This wine is one of the best zinfandels I've tasted in this price range all year. It has rich mouth-feel tannins, spice and a touch of vanilla from the use of American oak, juicy blackberry and cherry flavors with a touch of tobacco. Guglielmo has produced a tasty barbeque wine or a hearty red for your favorite cut of beef.
Retail price $12. Tasted April 8, 2003. We give this zindandel two .
