Domaine Stoeffler Pinot Blanc 2001
is an elegant, lovely bottle of wine.
There is a rich, honey'ed, fragance on the nose and musk melon on the palate.
This producer is very traditional and has very limited production.
The effort and quality show in this well-crafted wine.
The acidity is graceful, while the finish is layered, with minerals, cantalope, and flowers.
This bottle should lay down for a decade or so.
Drink it now or allow it grow more interesting and lush.
Retail price $14. Tasted September 12, 2003. A wonderful bottle earning two out of three .

Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss 2001 Kritt Pinot Blanc
is a wonderful example of a quality pinot blanc from Alsace at a great price.
This wine has very rich flavors on the nose with hints of honeysuckle and cardamom.
On the palate it is very rich and elegant with flavors of acacia, pear, honeysuckle, and minerals.
The honey'ed finish is layed and lingers long in the mouth with subtle hints of exotic spices.
The price on this Alsatian, pinot blanc makes it a steal!

Albert Boxler 2001 Pinot Blanc
is as elegant as it is layered.
The nose is honeyed and floral.
I found the white peaches, spicy notes of fruit tarts, and clean, bright fruit finish to be mouthwatering.
The acidity was perfectly balanced to the fruit.
I have the artwork for the Riesling on the site, but the pinot blanc has a similar style label.
Although a little hard to find, if you appreciate quality Alsatian wines, this is a great bottle for now or
later. Albert Boxler's Pinot Blanc will lay down for at least ten more years.
Retail price $25. Tasted September 8, 2003. This elegant bottle earns two .
