This interesting blend is composed of

Blackberries, blueberries, toasted vanilla caramel,

Cline 2005 Viognier, California
Read about viognier.
Viognier in general has a great nose and
this particular wine is a great example of how aromatic viognier can be.
Aromatic notes of summer flowers and tangerine zest lead to
focused peach, apricot, and grated lime zest on the palate.
There's a nice mouthwatering effect on the finish that tells me
this wine will hold up well to food.
Lovely! -BF $13

Wine Tasting Vocabulary 101
The topic of wine is vast and ever changing.
There are volumes written about wine and with each harvest a new chapter is added to its history.
Fortunately for the novice wine drinker,
describing the wine in their glass is a relatively simple task.
They don't need to know the details or history in order to describe it effectively.
It is all about flavor with a few words that portray the experience.
