Cuvée No. 1, Marlborough, New Zealand 750ml
This sparkling wine is so delicious and dense with flavors, while being very dry. Made in the meticulous methode champenoise, it exudes elegance with every sip. Blanc de blancs, made with 100% chardonnay grapes, it is bright and layered with flavors of apple pie, lime zest, and spring blossoms. On the finish, this rich bubbly treat tastes like gingerbread. -BF $38

"Telmo Rodriguez" M R Moscatel 500ml
Made from the muscat grape, this slightly sparkling dessert wine comes in a 500ml bottle. Zesty and floral, the acidity offers a complimentary facet to the confectionary flavors. Focused notes of apricots and honeysuckle flirt with the soft bubbles. Drink it before your meal with some salted nuts or end your meal with it and relaxing conversation. Low in alcohol and so easy to drink; it is a fun glass of wine for the wine savvy to share with the occasional drinker. -BF $22

La Spinetta 2005 Moscato d' Asti 750ml
Vibrant, fresh, indulgent, this frizzante dessert wine is low in alcohol and very alluring. Bright notes of ultra ripe peaches, honeysuckle, and hints of anglefood cake. The acidity is a tasty compliment to the fruity sweetness. A wonderful gift that will disappear very quickly. -BF $16

Gruet NV Brut Blanc de Blancs, New Mexico 750ml
This was one of the bottles I brought to the studio. Made from 100% chardonnay; it is bright and creamy with notes of apples, pears, and notes of cardamom bread and hazelnuts. Rich, a touch yeasty, and dry, this is a wonderful wine with sushi. -BF $15

Toad Hollow Risqué 750ml
Low in alcohol, softly carbonated, bursting with flavors of green apples and peaches. A sweet libation that is vibrant and quaffable. Goes splendidly with a fruit plate or some almond cookies. It is a bit risqué, but with half the alcohol, there's no worry of roudy bouts of the Can-Can breaking out in your living room. -BF $12

Mitolo Jester Shiraz, Mclauren Vale, Australia
This was the other bottle I brought to the studio. Mitolo Jester has a 'Stelvin Closure,' or more affectionately known as a screwcap. Stelvin's are new technology and cost more than a cork, so when you see one on the business end of a bottle, you know the winemaker is serious about protecting their wine. This red is intense with flavors of blueberries and black raspberries, yet has a subtle spice and minerality. It doesn't just bowl you over with fruit; it offers some interesting nuances in the form of fresh herbs, vanilla, and ground spices. $20

Quady Electra Orange Muscat 750ml
This dessert wine is not only delicious, but it is priced so well, you'll want to buy two. Orange muscat is so fragrant on the nose and that fragrance carries over to the palate in the form of organes, peaches, and summer flowers. A balanced dose of acidity makes it a bargain for the price. Another 'stickie' with lower alcohol makes this a great wine for sharing. -BF $12

Quady Essensia White Muscat 375ml
An astonishing bottle of dessert wine with its heady aromas of plumeria and orange blossoms. On the palate its flavors are rich notes of apricots, tangerines, lime leaves, and flan, and its acidity offers the perfect mouthwatering experience. This dessert wine is fortified, which means that spirits were added to it, raising its alcohol level to 15%. The added alcohol offers a balance to the abundant sweetness.
