Duval-Leroy Paris Cuvee NV Brut What a beautiful bottle! What a beautiful nose! What a beautiful Champagne! Great acidity explodes in your mouth with zest and power. Clean, edgy, notes lime and lemon zest complimented by a sultry mineral note. This image on this email does not do this bottle of Champagne justice. The quality of this Champagne earns this beautiful cobalt blue bottle clad with gold artwork. The artwork on the bottle is that of Leroy Neiman. This cuvée is 40 % Chardonnay - 60% Pinot Noir. A bright, delicious, bottle of wine. This would make a perfect gift for someone special. I warn you though...they may not ever want to open it! Zesty, light and scruptious, earning three out of three |

Calera Viognier 92 points The Wine Advocate "Fashinoned from a 6.1 acre vineyard on Mt. Harlan, this light green/gold-colored Viognier offers a provocative perfume of crushed stones intermixed with lychee nuts, apricotes, and white flowers. Ripe and full-bodied with a huge finish as well as a singular character, this 2002 is one of the finest Viogniers made in California. Bravo!" Divino Special Price $35 Top |

|
Talisman Pinot Noir - Carneros, California "Inviting aromas of brambles and spice lure you into taking the first sip. A soft entry filled with bright cherry fruit unfolds to reveal a mid-palate sweet spot characteristic of fully ripened fruit. Hints of leather and earth intermingled with a beautifully silky texture suggest Burgundian origins. This is a great food wine, finishing with spice and slightly grippy fine-grained, high-quality tannins." TalismanWine.com Divino Special Price $32 Top |

|
Antonio Saguinetti 1999 Brunello di Montalcino - Tuscany, Italy Italy has had some great vintages lately. This Brunello is proof in point. The tannins have an aged cheese like edge to them. Palate filling black cherry, licorice, tar, and flowers notes linger in a layered experience. This is one fine Tuscan wine. Divino Special Price $49 Top |

Guiseppe Lonardo Amarone - Veneto, Italy Awesome! It was liquid dried fruit flavors in a full bodied wine. The tannins and acid were ample, yet integrated. Its finish lingered like warm brandy. Divino Special Price $49 Top |

| Pine Crest 2003 Chardonnay This is the second label of Morrison, an upscale wine producer in the Coastal Region of South Africa. Only 8% of this chardonnay sees oak. This allows the bright flavors of lime zest, papaya, and mint to shine through. This tasty little white has the balance to pair well with your favorite lighter foods and cream sauces. |
Cloof Pinotage The 2000 vintage was a warm and dry vintage. This explains the higher than usual alcohol ofthe Pinotage. This came in very handy as it helped extract even more colour during maceration. The deep purple red colour of the wine is enhanced by deep flavours of strawberries and lether/spiciness on the nose. Divino Special Price $14 Top |

|
Dieu Donne Sauvignon Blanc There is a Sancerre flare to this wine. The nose is a hint of lime and melon. On the palate, the racy acidity boasts big, crisp, citrus flavors. The mid-palate picks up herbal notes and a touch of smoke. Divino Special Price $12 Top |
|
|
Dieu Donne Cabernet Sauvignon The winemaker for Dieu Donne trained at the Bordeaux First Growth, Chateau Margaux. His training really shows in this layered, structured cabernet. It has enough New World fruit flavor to please the American palate, yet it has the Bordeaux complexity. It offers soft notes of chocolate and hints of fresh picked herbs. The tannins are soft and the acidity balances with the forward black cherry fruit flavors. This well made bottle of wine is very reasonably priced. Divino Special Price $19 Top |

|
Domaine Catherine le Goueil Cuvee Marie Rouvier - Cairanne, Rhone Valley, France Funky, spicy, and flirty. This bottle is packed with terroir. Autumnal notes of leaves and rain. Dried flowers, sun dried tomatoes, pomegranites, and fresh indian spices. Made primarily from old vine grenache, with a little syrah and mourvèdré. It is light, yet masculine, dry, yet flavor packed. Emilo Bulfon Piculėt Neri Delightful! I found it to be gamay like, offering mouthwatering Beaujolais flavors of roses, raspbery, strawberry, and white chocolate. Soft and very easy to drink. Emilo Bulfon Scjaglin "Scjaglėn is a native Friulian vine that was known in the hills around Spilimbergo in the fifteenth century. The name derives from schiavolino, which means coming from Slavia, the area at the edge of the Julian Alps. Today, Scjaglėn is grown only in the area of Pinzano al Tagliamento and Castelnovo del Friuli. A straw-yellow wine, with delicate, intense aromas, it has a dry, warm palate and long length. A wine of character, Scjaglėn requires equally characterful food to complement it. Superb with shellfish, or risottos of herbs such as sclopėt (bladder campion), it is also excellent as an aperitif." |
Paringa 2002 Shiraz "...its saturated ruby/purple color, excellent texture, and weighty, lush mouthfeel are impressive. The wine, which had just been bottled, needs to settle down, but it possesses loads of character, and it should ultimately merit a score similar to the Cabernet Sauvignon. A substantial effort, it provides further evidence of just how special the 2002 vintage appears to be in South Australia." -The Wine Advocate Divino Special Price $9 |

Trefethen Double T Red 2001 Meritage - Napa Valley, California "The backbone of this wine is Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc and Malbec bring both softness and floral fruit components; Petit Verdot adds intense color and structure, while Merlot adds lively spice and herbal character. Aged in French and American oak for one year, the final bottling is a celebration of these diverse and complex flavors and aromas working in perfect harmony." Georges Dubeoef New Generation Syrah - Beaujolais, France "Even though Georges Duboeuf stated that the 2003 Shiraz Reserve Vin de Pays d'Oc had an explosive nose before being shipped air freight from France, the sample I tasted had muted aromatics. This offering's packaging must be seen to be believed as it looks like it is clad in blue jeans. The wine is as impressive as the bottle, displaying bodacious quantities of cassis, black raspberries, and blackberries in its boisterous character. Dense, generous, and deep, it is medium-bodied and satin-textured. It could easily merit another point if the nose described by Duboeuf returns with a couple of months of bottle age. Drink it over the next 3 years. Having recently been upgraded to business class on a transatlantic flight where I'd been served tired, drying out whites from Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses, I wrote in my tasting notes, "wouldn't joyful wines like these be more appropriate to serve on airlines?" Always an innovator in packaging (the flower-adorned labels of his Beaujolais bottles caused quite a stir when first unveiled), Duboeuf is once again going out on a limb, unveiling a line of "New Generation" labels for his "Reserve" wines from the south. Encased in highly-colorful thin plastic jackets, the wines are not "labeled", they're turned into brightly showy art work. Duboeuf's marketing studies have indicated that this packaging appeals significantly to young buyers." 88 points, The Wine Advocate, June 2004 Divino Special Price $7 Top |

Carpineto 2001 Dogajolo
Has a beautiful color in the glass with a fragrant nose of roses and violets.
The are notes of black cherries, roasted coffee and vanilla bean, black olive and tar.
Winemaker Dr. GianCarlo Sacchet chooses a style that is young and fresh like a Beaujolais,
yet is polished and worldly like a Super Tuscan.
I think he's done a great job of marrying the two styles into a very approchable wine.
If you are a fan of Tuscan wines and love a value price on a quality bottle of wine, Dogajolo is a great bottle for you. Divino Special Price $10 |

Carpineto Chianti Classico - Tuscany, Italy 2002 Grapes: 95% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo "A deep, bright ruby red color, a clean bouquet with hints of berries and violets, a rich, dry, well-balanced, velvety taste with nuances of cedar and tobacco and a lingering chewy finish. Only the finest fruit is selected from the Carpineto estate vineyards in Dudda for Chianti Classico. The wine derives its extract, rich color and flavor from extensive skin contact during fermentation. It is aged in large slavonian oak casks patiently for up to six months. This is followed by additional aging in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. After bottling, it is held at the winery for 4-6 months before being released. One of Tuscany's outstanding values, Carpineto Chianti Classico is comparable in size and style to many Riservas." Opici.com Divino Special Price $19 Top |

Cesari Amarone Classico - Veneto, Italy 1999 "A deep, bright ruby color, a rich, textured, austere taste and an elegant, lingering finish. Food Affiliations: Strong, elegant, flavorful cheeses such as parmigiano reggiano and grana padano, and gorgonzola. Try it with game or with nuts. This is an impressive wine which should be served last, due to its impressive size. A wine of contemplation. The Port drinker will enjoy this Amarone. Cesari Amarone is made from Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grapes from the communes of Negrar, Marano, Sant'Ambrogio and San Pietro in Cariano within the best zone for Amarone. These grapes are dried on racks and trellises until January, at which time the shriveled, raisin-like grapes begin the slow, long fermentation and aging process. After 4 years of careful and patient aging, the resulting wine combines sheer power with ripe softness and an ethereal bouquet. The taste is uniquely opulent and deep. This is a wine which will develop in the bottle for a generation or more." Opici.com Divino Special Price $33 Top |

Danzante Pinot Grigio - Veneto, Italy 2003 "Enticing notes of flowers, fruit and spices weave through the fresh aromas of our Pinot Grigio. The silky flavors mirror the aromas with nuances of pineapple, grapefruit and spices, culminating in a crisp, dry finish. This wine enhances a vast spectrum of dishes, from shellfish to veal and pork. Italians love Pinot Grigio with coastal seafood dishes, antipasti (appetizers) and primi piatti (first courses.) We have selected the grapes from three northeastern regions of Italy called the "Tre Venezie," where the wines reveal the most intense perfumes and distinct personality. Our 2001 Pinot Grigio beautifully demonstrates the uniquely smooth, silky texture of this grape variety, which is said to come from the grape's "invisible pigment"." A to Z Pinot Noir - Oregon 2003 "Great clear ruby Pinot Noir color. A beautiful cornucopia of fresh ripe red fruits immediately jumps out from the nose. Sweet dark ripe raspberries, violets, fresh spices, lavender, hints of oak and cassis emerge after the initial blast of fruit. The wine is most obviously very ripe, perfumed, heady and redolent of high-toned notes of bright red fruits. The aromatics herald the wine as an archetypical ripe Oregon Pinot Noir. As the wine enters the mouth a sweet lush entry leads to an integrated succulent attack. Harmonious ripe tannins lift the wine and add great balance to the copious fruit. Good ripe acidity for structure in the wine pulls the wine together gives it great length and defines it as a classic elegant Oregon Pinot Noir.
