Robert Mondavi 2003 Reserve Fumé Blanc, Napa Valley
Wow! This wine is polished, yet intense.
Lovely, dense, with cinnamon apple spice, hints of ripe, sweet, pink grapefruit, and notes of candied ginger.
The finish carries the apple and spice flavors with a welcome note of acidity.
This quality of this bottle of wine is exceptional and well worth the price.
I've tasted sauvignon blancs at twice the price that couldn't compete with this wine.

Red Cliffe 2005 Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
Don't be afraid of the Stelvin Closure.
Screw caps are more expensive than corks and do not harbor the nasty
TCA mold that can rob you wine of its flavors.
This new world white is packed with gooseberry, grapefruit, and lemon flavors.
It has mineral and lime notes on the mid-palate.
Prominent acidity and zip compete with its fruit flavors.
It's a mouthwatering treat, great for foods with rich sauces.
