Honig 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California
This wine can holds its own against many $100 a bottle cabernets at a fraction of the price. It is extremely dense, with a soft sachet of dried lavender on the mid-palate. The slight earthy note is integrated into the ripe black cherry flavors. A great value for the money.

Rutherford Grove 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California
This wine is a beautiful color of purple. Flavors of chocolate cups, black cherries, cassis, vanilla, mint with soft tannins. Velvety on the palate with concentrated flavors from the fore-palate finish.

Robert Mondavi 2003 Reserve Fumé Blanc, Napa Valley
Wow! This wine is polished, yet intense. Lovely, dense, with cinnamon apple spice, hints of ripe, sweet, pink grapefruit, and notes of candied ginger. The finish carries the apple and spice flavors with a welcome note of acidity. This quality of this bottle of wine is exceptional and well worth the price. I've tasted sauvignon blancs at twice the price that couldn't compete with this wine.

Renard 2004 Rosé, Napa Valley, California
Smoke, black cherries, tobacco . . . wait! Am I talking about a red wine? No, this is most definitely a rosé. A blend of the red grapes syrah and grenache, with a touch of viognier, this is a dark pink wine with a touch of grip from slight tannins. Dense, like a red, yet light enough for ham and turkey. Martin Ray Diamond Mountain Merlot, Napa Valley California
Big notes of French oak on the nose carries over to the palate in the form of cloves. WOW!!! This is a very beautiful glass of wine! Once in the mouth the wine is sultry with tannins yet smoldering with deep fruit flavors. The flavors of blackberries and cherries are layered with hints of smoke, vanilla, and black licorice. This bottle will do well in a wine cellar, but is very drinkable now. It would make an impressive gift or a well received bottle to take to a dinner party. Diamond Mountain is known for spectacular fruit and this bottle is a great value for its quality. -BF
