Aragonia Tinto 2000 Crianza
For those of you who do not see ham or turkey in your menu during the next week,
try this bottle of red wine.
This is a very spicy little red.
The nose has aromas of ground black pepper, which carries over to the palate.
Notes of sundried tomatoes, cedar, tobacco,
and black licorice are swept away by a good dose of blueberry.
It has some backbone in the way of tannins,
but the intense fruit flavors offer a perfect balance. -BF $11

Viña Borgia 2004 Garnacha, Campo de Borgia, Spain
Yes indeed, the 2004 Viña Borgia is very tasty.
Just like the previous vintage this bottle is loaded with ripe black raspberries.
There is a savory black licorice flavor and a note of black pepper.
No oak on this red,
so if you struggle with a red wine headache,
you may want to try this scrumptious garnacha.
The rest of you will be impressed by its quality and value too. -BF
