Marqués de Monistrol Cava Reserva, Penedes, Spain
This is a great bottle of bubbly for the money. Spain calls their sparkling wine Cava, after an old Catalan word meaning cave. Spain, like Champagne, is known for its caves, where bottles of sparkling wine are aged, riddled, and disgorged. Marqués de Monistrol, (red label) offers an elegant treat without breaking the bank. It's golden color offers notes of pear, golden delicious apples and the finish hints of lemon meringue. It's a tasty bottle worth keeping on hand.

Segura Viudas NV Heredad Reserva Cava, Spain
The bottle is as impressive as the sparkling wine inside. If you need to make an impression, but are on a budget (and who isn't) this bottle fits the bill. The palate is filled with flavors of peach and apricot, complimented by yeasty, petrol notes. The honey finish makes this Cava taste much more expensive than it is. You'll find someone will want to take the bottle with them.

Aria NV Extra Dry Cava, Spain
This is a surprising little sparkling wine for the money. The palate offers lime and pear notes with a rich honey'ed finish. There is a hint of anise on the mid-palate. Nice looking label that will make them thing you spent more than you did.

Another great inexpensive Cava. It offers lighter fruit flavors. Notes of anise, lime zest, and cherry skins weave on the palate. The perfect bottle for toasting, making mimosas, and it makes a great way to start your evening.

Cava is a best kept secret in the world of bubbles. This sparkling rosé is delicious. Its nose has scents of strawberries and cream. On the palate there are notes of strawberries, cherries, lime zest, minerals, and fresh biscuits. A delightful finish with a hint of white flowers.
